We offer both keepsake scans, just for fun, and medical ultrasounds, including dating scans, growth scans, breech scans, and fertility scans. Everything in one place, done by people who know what they are doing.
Every scan takes place in our own ultrasound room in Curaçao, with high-quality equipment and plenty of time for explanation. Your partner, family, or friends are always welcome to join.

Insurance
Mirasoon is a private practice. You pay for the scan directly to us and submit the invoice to your insurer yourself, reimbursement always follows afterwards. SVB does not cover our scans. Ennia and Guardian generally reimburse part of the costs, often only after prior approval from the insurer. International, expat and defence insurers often cover everything. Keepsake scans are not covered. Questions about costs? We are happy to discuss them at intake.
Frequently asked questions
When do you have which ultrasound during pregnancy?
A normal pregnancy has a few set moments. Around 6 to 8 weeks an early scan to confirm the pregnancy and the heartbeat. At 10-12 weeks a dating scan to establish your due date. At 13-14 weeks and 19-21 weeks a detailed screening scan that checks your baby's growth and organs. After that, growth scans may follow if there is a reason for them. At Mirasoon we schedule your scans at the right time and calmly explain what we see each time.
What is the difference between a medical ultrasound and a keepsake (pret) scan?
A medical ultrasound has a medical purpose: we check your baby's growth, organs, heartbeat, and development. A keepsake scan (such as a 3D or 4D scan) is purely to enjoy and see your baby early, often together with family. A keepsake scan never replaces a medical ultrasound. At Mirasoon both are possible, and we tell you honestly which scan makes sense at which moment.
What does an ultrasound at Mirasoon cost and is it covered?
Costs vary by type of scan, and we always give you a clear amount in XCG beforehand. You pay us directly and submit the invoice to your insurer yourself. Medical ultrasounds that are part of your pregnancy care are partly covered by Ennia and Guardian, and often fully reimbursed afterward with international or expat insurance; the SVB does not cover them. A keepsake scan is a personal choice and is not reimbursed by insurers. We always discuss costs openly before you book anything, and by arrangement you can also pay in instalments.
Can I bring someone to the ultrasound, and when can I do 3D/4D?
Yes, you are very welcome to bring your partner, family, or a friend; seeing your baby together is a special moment. For a 3D or 4D scan the best window is usually between 27 and 32 weeks: your baby is big enough for beautiful images and still has enough room. We are happy to help you pick the ideal moment so you get the clearest images.
