Right after the birth, your postnatal caregiver starts. Everything is already at home, so the family begins in their own nest.

A home birth is possible if your pregnancy proceeds without complications. Your midwife discusses with you whether it fits your situation. We look at:
- Your general health and any medical history
- The course of your pregnancy so far
- Your baby's position around the due date
- The distance to the nearest hospital
- Your home situation and accessibility

How does it work?
Intake & consultation
We discuss your wishes and situation. Is a home birth suitable? Then we plan everything together and start the guidance.
Prenatal check-ups
Regular check-ups. We follow your baby's growth and how you are doing.
Preparation
As your due date approaches, your midwife gives you a list of supplies. We check the home situation and make clear agreements about availability and when to call.
Midwife comes home
Once labour is well underway, your midwife comes to you. She guides you through dilation, the birth and the first moments after.
We strive to have your own midwife present at the birth. Due to unexpected circumstances (such as a simultaneous birth or availability) it may happen that a colleague midwife takes over the care. You are always in good hands.
First hours after birth
Your midwife stays until you and your baby are stable. She does the first checks, weighs the baby and helps with the first feeding.
Postnatal week
The postnatal caregiver takes over. Postnatal care at home, maximally relaxed, in your own bed.
